The CFA have confirmed the grass fire near Pomonal has been brought under control after burning for almost three hours.

The CFA said the fire was brought under control at around 4:20pm with crews estimating the fire burnt around 75 hectares.
Crews will be on scene for some time 'blacking out' the site and beginning their investigations.

3:00PM
A grass fire that is not yet under control is burning along Pomonal Road, near Lake Fyans.
A CFA spokesperson said crews were called to a grassfire at around 1:35pm.
They said there are seven CFA units on the scene with crews from Stawell, Halls Gap, Great Western, Pomonal, Moyston and Ararat trying to get the fire under control.

The CFA also reminded people to keep the roads clear while emergency services are responding to the incident.
The message also said smoke will be visible from nearby roads and communities.
