Festival committee member Una Allender said the festival could not be held in its usual form due to COVID-19, but the committee was still eager to be active in 2021.
"We really couldn't have a festival this year because of COVID, so we have postponed it until 2022," she said.
"What we are doing instead is holding a series of smaller events throughout the year."

The first is the Lake Bolac Eel Festival Harmony Day Concert, held at Picnic Point on Sunday, March 21.
The concert will be held outside, with attendance capped at 100 people. Ms Allender said more than 70 tickets had already sold.
It will include performances from Phil and Trudy Edgeley Jim Williams Glynn Coulson.
Ms Allender said the festival is also likely to hold events to mark NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week.
"We'll look to do something to acknowledge them," she said.
OTHER NEWS:
"In 2019 we had a very well-attended art exhibition that started in Reconciliation Week in June and ran right through to the end of NAIDOC Week in July, so it's a good opportunity to have Indigenous culture on display in Lake Bolac."
People attending the Harmony Day Concert are encouraged to bring their food, water, and chair. A coffee van will be present on the day.
Attendance requires only a gold coin donation, but people need to book in advance to ensure attendance does not exceed the cap.
People can book for the event here.
