Severe thunderstorms to roll across Wimmera region.
The Bureau of Meteorology announced on Friday morning that severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
Ararat is forecast to be a humid and cloudy 23 for Friday. There will be a very high chance of rain, easing in the afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm. Possible heavy falls in the east in the morning and early afternoon. Winds northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h shifting west to northwesterly early in the morning then tending north to northwesterly in the middle of the day. Daytime maximum temperatures in the low to mid 20s.

With last weeks heavy rain fall, it might be fortunate that the Wimmera might miss most of the incoming rain this week.
The Bureau of Meteorology announced on Thursday a severe weather warning has been issued for Friday due to heavy rain and strong winds; thunderstorms could bring higher rainfall.
The bureau warned that due to the previous wet conditions over the past week and that ground and river catchments are already wet and that may cause further river rises.

Though due to the previous rainfall, it is still recommended to be alert for any severe weather.
SES are advising all Victorians be storm ready.
SES also remind people to not enter flood waters, it only takes 15mm for a car to float.
