There was a massive upset in round 12 of the Grampians Cricket Association as Swifts-Great Western suffered a shock loss to bottom-placed Pomonal, allowing Buangor-Tatyoon to jump to the top of the ladder.
Pomonal's scored just its second win of the season after winning the toss, batting first and compiling a strong 4-184 from their 40 overs at North Park.
Their innings was lead by Clayton Mackley's fine 70 and solid contributions from Brian Thomas, Richard Thomas and Lynden Brewis who all scored 22 runs each.
None of the Swifts-Great Western bowlers could do any damage with ball, with four different bowlers claiming one wicket each.
After setting up the game with a strong score, Pomonal then rolled through the ladder-leading Swifts-Great Western to claim a comprehensive win.

It was an even bowling effort from Pomonal with all six of their bowlers claiming at least one wicket, with Patrick Frawley, Clayton Mackley, William Bath and Phill Brady all claiming two wickets each.
Will Bath claimed 2-14 off just three overs, while teammate Mackley earned ever-quotable figures of 2-22 off six overs.
Opening bowler Patrick Frawley claimed two key wickets that swung the momentum in Pomonals way, snaring opening batsman Jack Cann LBW for just one run, as well as number four batsman Jesse Eckel for a duck.
After losing these early wickets, Combine fell to 6-44, before a wagging tail added some substance to the their scorecard.
The win drags Pomonal off the bottom of the ladder, while the shock loss has dropped Swifts-Great Western to second on the table, behind Buangor-Tatyoon, who enjoyed a bye during round 12.
While Pomonal were claiming an unexpected victory, Youth Club strengthened their chances of securing a finals berth with a comprehensive win against St Andrews.

At Alexandra Oval, St Andrews batted first but Youth's Matt Healy and Cameron Kimber did the damage, taking three wickets each off their allotted eight overs.
Kimber finished the innings with figures of 3-26, dismissing Adam Haslett for just four runs and Paul Menzies (36), before trapping Matthew Spalding LBW for a duck.
Youth restricted St Andrews to 9-144 from their 40 overs before Nic Baird guided the side home with a classy century.
After losing an early wicket, (Bailey Taylor for 1), Baird steadied the ship as he smashed an unbeaten 107, which included 10 fours and 4 sixes. In the end Youth finished 3-145 and clinched the win with three overs to spare.
With figures of 1-20 off eight overs, Haslett was the pick of the St Andrews bowlers, followed by Menzies (1-26) and James Hosking (1-28).
After the win Youth now sit in third position on the ladder with a big clash against Buangor-Tatyoon in round 13 at Stawell's Central Park.
