And with just three available rounds left to play before the finals series begins, all of the round 14 clashes can have season defining implications.
The match of the weekend on the field will be Great Western hosting Glenthompson Dunkeld as two finals hopefuls go head-to-head.
Prior to the season's three-week hiatus, Great Western were building into some fine form, with a 221-point win over Caramut.
Meanwhile, Glenthompson Dunkeld turned in a disappointing performance as they fell 58-point shorts of the competition leading Woorndoo Mortlake.

The clash will be a finals shaping one, with a win for the Lions affirming their place in the top-three, but if Glenthompson Dunkeld can cause an upset their season will be well and truly humming.
Towards the mid-table Ararat Eagles and Lismore Derrinallum have big matches on their cards.
The Eagles will host Wickliffe Lake Bolac at Alexandra Oval where they must win to keep their finals hopes alive.
Meanwhile Lismore Derrinallum are at home in round 14 against Tatyoon where they will be hoping to cause an upset to hold onto their top-five spot.
With Lismore Derrinallum's tough match up, the door may be open for the Eagles to sneak into the top-five if they are able knock off Wickliffe Lake Bolac.
In the netball Great Western and Glenthompson Dunkeld will have finals implications with both sides fighting for their place in September.

Glenthompson Dunkeld are well placed to challenge for the premiership once again, while the Lions are in fifth place and are hoping to cause a much-needed upset.
The Ararat Eagles will also be hoping to cause a boilover when they host Wickliffe Lake Bolac.
The Magpies are sitting in sixth and will be desperate to defeat the Eagles as they push towards September.
But after three-weeks to rest and reset, the Eagles will be hoping to get back on the winner's list with a strong showing at home.
