Fremantle Dockers selected the 202cm ruckman with pick 69 in the 2017 NAB AFL National Draft.
Meek came close to making his debut in July last year when he was named on the interchange bench but was not given the opportunity to get on the field.
This is set to change in Round One, with the 22-year-old having been told he will play at Fremantle's team meeting on Wednesday, March 17.
At the meeting, senior coach Justin Longmuir praised Meek's attitude to the game.
"The reason why this excites me is because I don't think there is anyone at the club that has worked as hard on their game as Meeky has this year," he said during the meeting.
"The thing I love about you, mate, is you've stepped up to every challenge that we've thrown at you. You've stepped up this preseason and you deserve this opportunity."
Meek played for SMW Rovers as a junior, making his first senior team appearance in 2013.
A significant ankle in 2019 delayed Meek's progress, but his performances this year in two preseason matches against the West Coast Eagles have convinced Fremantle to give him his debut.
Fremantle's game against the Melbourne Demons will begin at 1.45pm on Saturday.
