The 202 centimetre ruckman was taken in the fourth round with pick 69 in Friday night’s AFL national draft.
The 19-year-old was overlooked in the 2016 draft but continued to work hard, earning selection for Victoria Country and making an inflluence with the Rebels.
He will make his way west and look to learn from veteran ruckman Aaron Sandliands as he comes towards the end of his career.
Meek was the only player from the Greater Western Victoria Rebels to be drafted.
The Brisbane Lions used the number one pick to draft Western Jets midfielder Cameron Rayner.
