Twelve people are vying to sit on the new seven-seat council, with Victorian Electoral Commission's nomination period closing at midday on Tuesday.
Among them are four councillors from the most recent term - Gwenda Allgood, Jo Armstrong, Bernardine Atkinson and Peter Beales - and seven challengers.

This year's election is being conducted by postal ballot due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ballot is on October 24, meaning votes must be received by 6pm on Friday October 23.
The VEC will send out ballot packs to ratepayers in early October.
