Update, December 18
The Ararat Advertiser has received the following response from the Bureau of Meteorology about missing weather records:
"The Bureau's site at Ararat Prison experienced some telecommunications issues earlier this month, which meant a small number of observations were not published to the Bureau webpage.
The missing data is currently undergoing standard quality control analysis and will published to the Bureau webpage as soon as possible."
Earlier
ARARAT dropped off the map for several days in early December when no Bureau of Meteorology data was uploaded.
BOM normally uploads daily weather figures to its website, including highest and lowest temperatures as well as rainfall and other information.
But from December 1 to December 5 inclusive no data was uploaded.
From Friday December 6 records resumed, but were incomplete.
Only Friday's temperature high was recorded while on Saturday only the low was recorded. On Sunday again only the high appeared.
Since then full records have resumed.
Data for Ararat is taken from a station at Hopkins Correctional Centre.
The Ararat Advertiser contacted the Bureau but did not receive a response.
