Landsborough are at home to the visiting Stawell Golf side, who will be keen to get the points and stay in the top four.
Landsborough have shown glimpses of being able to match it with other sides, so the Golf team will need to be on top of their game to ensure the win.
In the match of the round, Aradale will host Stawell. The home team will be looking to get a win to stay in touch with the top four. They trail Stawell by seven points on the ladder and could bridge the gap with a win – a loss and their 2019 finals chances might be gone.
Ararat have struggled to get a win most weeks but are a much better team at home.
They will give the Chalambar side a run for their money and will be optimistic of an upset win.
The Chally side could find themselves out of the four at the end of the day, depending on other results.
In the last game, Lake Bolac need to beat the top side Ararat VRI to have any chance of playing in the finals. The VRI side have played well away from home this year.
With the next two matches against Bolac and Stawell away from home, they will get a feel on how good they are. VRI are sitting one game clear on top and a loss would put them back in the pack looking for a finals position.
Division 2
There’s also six teams in the mix for a finals position in Division 2.
With some key matches, the top four might be a little easier to work out after this round.
Aradale will be at home against Ararat Green with both teams very close on the ladder in fifth and sixth position. The loser of this match will struggle to make the top four; the winner may find themselves in the final four for another week.
Stawell Blue, who are sitting fourth, should be too classy for the Lake Bolac red side. A win should help secure their position on the ladder.
The two Stawell Golf sides will play each other for bragging rights with both sides out of touch of the top four for this year.
In the match of the round, Ararat VRI will host top side Stawell Gold, who look to have done enough to play finals this year.
The VRI side can stay in the race for a top-two position with a win, but a loss will put them back with the chasing pack for a finals position.
In the last game, Ararat Gold – sitting second – should be too strong at home against Lake Bolac Black and will retain their position in the top two spots on the ladder.
