The temperatures were a comfortable 31 degrees for our swimmers and the newest members kicked off a great day.
Byron Johnson took third place in his 8&U 50m Free and Back, while Cokey Galoso took second place in his 8&U 50m Free and Back.
The coaches never cease to be amazed by the comradery.
The Townsend family went home with a bag of medals and points for the club. Our mixed 10&U relay team swam against the 12&U and came first, Gabe Tonks won his 200m IM and Imogen Tonks felt the sweet weight of a third place medal for the Girls 15-16 100m Back – her first for the club.
One of the tightest races was between Ivana Donnan (Ararat Rats) and Claudia Lanyon (Horsham Sharks) in the Girls 13/14 100m breast. Ivana pipped Claudia at the post by .2 of a second!
The coaches never cease to be amazed by the comradery and determination of all swimmers.
We wish Eoghan Purser a speedy recovery from his Achilles injury so he can help Ararat Rats get back to the top of the leaderboard. Ararat Rats are sitting second after Horsham.
