Rocktheblock led for the majority of the race at Penola to win over 1400 metres.
Christine Puls rode the four-year-old gelding to the victory.
“It was a big thrill to win again,” Karina Rowe said.
“We have always known this horse was going to be there, he just needed a bit of luck and to be let to roll.
“He has had some good runs. Out of his last 10 starts he has had just three poor runs.”
The husband and wife training combo were at different race tracks when Melbourne Hero won for their first victory since Decemebr 2007 two weeks ago, but they were able to share this win together.
“John and I were there together. It was almost a bit hard to believe it had happened so soon again,” Karina said.
“I kept expecting something to get past him (Rocktheblock). He led from the start and Christine just let him do his thing which was great to see.”
