Super Bowl commercials from the 2024 game have aired with some of the world's most famous sporting, acting and musical stars featuring as well-paid cameos.

Companies forked out a whopping $10 million fee to air their 30 second ads during the gridiron grand final between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers on February 12.

Break the Internet

Beyoncé picked up where Kim Kardashian left off in Verizon's commercial featuring the R'n'B icon trying to "break the internet" with a series of high-profile stunts including running for president (BOTUS).

She also used the moment to announce the release of her country-inspired album Renaissance Part II.

Other major entertainment announcements were made during Super Bowl ads including the release of two highly-anticipated films.

Deadpool's sequel featuring Ryan Reynolds and Australia's Hugh Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine, will be released on July 26, 2024.

Ariana Grande's Wicked Part 1, a film version of the hit Broadway musical, will be released on November 27.

Sitcom throwbacks

Ensemble casts from beloved sitcoms and comedy series were featured heavily in the 2024 ads.

The stars of Scrubs advertised T-Mobile, Parks and Recreation actors plugged Pringles and Mountain Dew Baja Blast while Tina Fey and the 30 Rock cast promoted Booking.com.

"America's sweetheart" Aubrey Plaza joined her Parks and Recreation co-star, and fellow quiet-talker, Nick Offerman in having a blast for Mountain Dew.

Chris Pratt, another Parks and Recreation alumni, grew a statement moustache to match the Pringles mascot in their Super Bowl ad.

Zach Braff and Donald Faison, bromance poster boys from the 2001 comedy series Scrubs, joined Aquaman Jason Momoa to belt out Flashdance's What a Feeling for T-Mobile.

Tina Fey sent her body doubles, including 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, to experience Booking.com holidays. Even Jack McBrayer, AKA Kenneth Parcell, made an appearance.

But no sitcom throwback could contend with Uber Eats' ad featuring Jennifer Aniston blanking her long-time co-star David Schwimmer.

The actor's actors

Christopher Walken, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sir Patrick Stewart showed their acting nous during the commercials.

Everyone has a Christopher Walken impersonation and, unfortunately, everyone does it when they meet the man himself in an ad for BMW.

Sir Anthony Hopkins raises Welsh spirits as the Wrex the dragon mascot for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Wrexham Football Club.

In one of the year's more absurd ads, Sir Patrick Stewart throws the football-headed cartoon character Arnold, from the 1996 kids show Hey Arnold!, into a cliff while Peppa Pig and Drew Barrymore watch.
