The ride will be now a four day event from March 31 to April 3, 2022.
Rebecca Lane, Bicycle Network's General Manager of Events, said a larger event just wasn't feasible.
"We have done everything in our power to try and run a Great Vic this year but a nine day riding and camping event is not possible in the current COVID-19 climate," Ms Lane said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We've worked hard to put together a ride which delivers on many of the best parts of the Great Vic. Importantly, the Little Vic will also provide a significant boost to our many volunteers, suppliers and gracious hosts in the Grampians region."
The 235-kilometre Little Vic has an exceptional mix of scenery, charming host towns, wildlife and the Grampians National Park.
Participants must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated if over the age of 12.
The event will be capped at 3,000 riders.
Some highlights include arriving at Halls Gap, exploring Grampians National Park and the finish line which will be at Seppelt Winery in Great Western.
