A car went down an embankment at Mt Cole road on Saturday night leaving emergency services with a "difficult extraction."

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a car went down an embankment and was reported to Ambulance services at 8.50pm Saturday.
An SES spokesperson said the Ararat Unit was called to an assist at Mt Cole Saturday night just after 9.30pm.
SES were on standby for a potential high angle rescue but this was not require and they assisted AV in accessing one person on the scene.
Victoria Police were also at the incident.
The man in his 20s was taken to Ballarat Health Services with leg and back injuries in a stable condition.
