Liam Gerner and Luke Moller entertained a good crowd at Chalambar Motel on Wednesday night to herald Ararat Live's return after a 13-month absence.

The not-for-profit group was founded in October 2010 to bring original artists to Ararat and its surroundings.
The group has facilitated more than 100 shows since it was founded and can now add to that tally once more.
Ararat Live musical director David Nicholson said performers and audiences alike have been eager for live music to resume.

"The musicians themselves have been hanging out to get out and do stuff, and our regular audience has also been dying to hear some music again," he said.
"We've had a lot of good feedback from people letting us know that they're happy we're back."
Gerner has previously at Ararat Live events on numerous occasions.
Gerner and Moller have enjoyed decorated careers in Australia and abroad, having performed with Elton John, Kasey Chambers, and Carrie Underwood.

Ararat Live shows will continue to feature a high calibre of artists.
Anna Smyrk will perform at the next gig on Wednesday, May 5, with the likes of Deborah Conway, Anna Smyrk, and Imogen Clark booked for shows in 2021.
Ararat Rural City Council has helped ensure that Ararat Live will not be without a venue for future events.
"Ararat City Council suggested that we partner up and use the Town Hall as the main venue," Mr Nicholson said.
"I'm quite happy about that, it's a great place to be."
