NORTHERN Grampians CIU members, Critical Incident Response Team, Ararat Police and Stawell Police executed a search warrant at a Stawell address on Wednesday.

A 35-year-old man, of Stawell, was taken into custody.
Detective Sergeant Brett Robinson said the man was charged with firearm offences and would appear at court at a later date.
"We seized two firearms and some ammunition," he said.
"There was also an extensive amount of property that was allegedly stolen.

"There were about 100 items."
Detective Sergeant Robinson said information was received from community members which helped the police.
