Willaura Lions Club secretary Ellen McCartney-Lees said the gathering is a long-held annual tradition.
"We've been doing it for years," Ms McCartney-Lees said
"One of the residents can remember it being held about 47 years ago, so it's been going a long, long time."
Ms McCartney-Lees said the Willaura Fire Brigade will drive Santa to the park so he can give some gifts to the kids.
"They go through the streets and throw lollies if there are any children in the streets," she said.
"The firetruck will arrive with Santa at the Lions Park in the recreation area around about 6pm.
"Santa then sits somewhere with his bag of lollies and the children line up and get a bag lollies each, then Santa usually enjoys a sausage with us."
Ms McCartney-Lees said Santa in the Park always provided a great opportunity for people to catch up ahead of the holiday season.
"It's a very social event, we all know each other and everyone really looks forward to it."
She also stated that foul weather will not see the event cancelled.
"The event will run regardless of the weather because we use the barbecues in the rotunda.
"A couple of years ago we had three storms come through in half an hour and we still had a great afternoon."
Santa in the Park is free for children and $2 for adults.
While Santa arrives at 6pm, people are welcome to come earlier.
