Saturday's match at Landsborough was a good test for the reigning premiers as they stepped up to the challenge.
White threw everything they could at the Ararat ladies, missing out on points by just one game.
The men on the other hand had skipper Nick Oliver and stalwart John Hannett in sizzling form for the visitors, helping their team to a 20 game lead ahead of the mixed sets.
Zoe Bandy sent down numerous thunderbolt serves but it wasn't enough for the Burrahs team as Ararat ran away with a 28 game victory.
Tahni Skewes again was solid for the victors who now sit 10 points clear of Landsborough White.
Elmhurst-Amphitheater sent a message to the rest of the Association that they're here to play in 20/21 by whipping Landsborough Blue off the court. Showing no mercy, the home side tore away to an early 23 game lead from their four ladies sets.
The men though had to fight for their points as Blue took it right up to their opponents and fell by just four games.
