Up to $10,000 in individual grants are available to Ararat community groups thanks to the Ararat Wind Farm Sustainable Community Grants program.

Ararat chief executive Dr Tim Harrison said the program, administered by Ararat Rural City Council, provides $5000 grants for smaller projects and $10,000 grants for larger projects with matching funding, with the total funds available this year $65,000.
Applications to community groups within the Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians Shire and Pyrenees Shire.
"This is a great opportunity for local groups and organisations to obtain funds for much-needed projects," he said.

Applications will close at 5pm on Friday July 31, 2020.
Successful applicants will be announced in late August.
