IT'S an unusually cold and also wet end to April across the region.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Michael Halfpenny said about 2 to 5 millimetres had fallen across the Wimmera overnight.
He said the wet weather would continue on Wednesday, with about 10-15mm forecast for throughout the day.
"There will be showers over the next few days, but no significant quality," he said.
It follows heavy rain at the weekend.
Other news:
Mr Halfpenny said between 20 and 40mm fell across the wheat belt at the weekend.
"Most farmers should be pretty pleased with the rain," he said.
"It's come at the perfect time."

He said temperatures would hit just 13 degrees in Horsham on Thursday, and 14 on Friday.
He said Stawell was set for 12 degrees on Thursday and a cool 11 degrees on Friday.
Mr Halfpenny said it was early in the year for temperatures to drop so much.
"It's unusual for April but not for May," he said. "It's on the cusp."
Mr Halfpenny said temperatures across the region would increase marginally at the weekend, but remain at a maximum of 17 degrees on Monday and Tuesday next week.
