Former clubmen Jordan Zeitz and Ed Pritchard have signed on for the Tigers' 2020 campaign, seeing nearly 100 games of senior Wimmera league experience return to the playing list.
Zeitz spent four seasons with Nhill, before departing for West Gambier in the Western Border Football League last year.
"I coached against him when I was coaching Minyip-Murtoa, and I remember thinking how good he was when I was watching him play," Nhill coach Jaye Macumber said.
"It's fantastic to get him to come back to the club. It's created a bit of a buzz in the playing group from the guys who played with him for those four or five years because they absolutely adored him as a player on and off the field."
Pritchard first started with Nhill's under-17's side and returned to the club after a one-year stint with Portland in the Hampden football league.
"I met Ed when he moved back to Nhill for work last year. He's come to every training so far, and he was number two in our 3km time trial, so he's obviously very fit," Macumber said.
"He's got a fantastic personality, and he's a bit of a leader, given he coached the under-14's at Nhill a few years ago. He's a fantastic character around the group."
From VFL player Nick Linton has departed the club, but Macumber was confident the club's commitment to local talent would hold his side in good stead.
"The goal has always been to lessen the number of travellers we have in the squad and give the local boys that live in the Wimmera the opportunity to really develop their footy," he said. "The main thing is that a lot of the locals who have played their footy there the past couple of years are still hanging around and are looking forward to creating something that is truly theirs.
"Everyone who wants to be there is there, so that's the main takeaway."
