Anglers fished both Fyans and Taylors Lakes, with the vast majority of fish being caught at Fyans.
Fishing Taylors with worms was the best method to land yourself a yellowbelly, while Fyans produced redfin - either trolling or flicking chatterbaits.
Hopefully, with the warm weather, the fishing will remain good for quite a while.
Daryl Keirl began the year well, landing nine reddies at Fyans for a combined length of 279.5cm from Gavin Keilars, seven redfin at 239.5cm, also at Fyans.
Doug Collins fished Taylors for five yellas measuring 180cm.
Wyatt Blake was the successful junior with a 33.5cm yella caught at Taylors and a 28cm redfin at Fyans for a combined length of 61.5cm. Tony Green took out the longest fish award with a 42cm reddy from Fyans.
The next competition will be fished on the Australia Day long weekend with a two water event at either Taylors or Fyans, from 6am, Saturday, January 25 until 11am Monday, with final measure at 11.15am at the Lake Fyans clubhouse.
