Ararat man airlifted to Melbourne hospital in critical condition after alleged assault

Police say a man in his 20s was allegedly assaulted outside the hotel at around 8:30pm, and was left in a critical condition, which has since stabilised over the coming days.

An Ararat man was arrested after the altercation and charged with intentionally causing serious injury.

The man is due to appear in Horsham Magistrates' Court on Monday 23 December.

Horsham police are also reviewing CCTV footage, after a brawl at the city's Victoria Hotel on Friday night.
