The event ran across Saturday and Sunday at Centenary Hall, and organiser Michael Matthews said there were about 160 people through the door.
Unlike other events that struggled in the wet weather, the orchid show benefited.
"It brought people in the door because it rained," Mr Matthews said.
Committee member Barbara Welsh said the show provided a "magnificent sight for those who attended."
"Members of the club were thrilled by the number of visitors who return each year to attend the show," she said.
"This year members displayed their orchids in table top displays, enabling all attending to admire their diverse beauty up close.
"Grand Champion Orchid of the Show was awarded to a magnificent Paphiopedilum proudly owned by Craig Miles. This orchid was recently awarded an Award of Merit at an orchid show in Sydney."
Mr Miles was also named the reserve champion in the Tall Tales category.
Past president and current committee member John Welsh said there were a lot of repeat visitors.
"We had a lot of visitors through the show and we had a lot of people come back," he said.
"I had a bloke here from Melbourne this morning and he said it's the fifth time that they've been. Being a long weekend I think what happens is people go to Halls Gap every year for the same weekend. It's remarkable all the people you see."
