Ararat Brave members are gearing up for their trip to the annual Tri State Games at Adelaide in November.
The group enters athletes into the games which provides people with a disability the opportunity to compete against their peers in a range of sporting activities.
Attending many community events in the hope to raise funds, support worker Loretta Miller said everyone looked forward to attending the games each year.
"All the athletes have to pay there own way when they got to compete," she said.
"We're hoping to raise some funds to help subsidise the cost to the trip.
"Athletes and support workers have given up their weekends to get along to community events in the hope we can raise some money."
Ararat Brave's Bernie wore his medals from last years event proudly around his neck.
"I won a silver in the 25 metre run," he said.
"I also won bronze in the 50 metre freestyle."
Ms Miller said if anyone was interested in helping out the team reach their goals they could contact Wood 'n' Crete in Ararat or Manna Gums Nursery.
"We'll also be walking in the Golden Gateway Festival parade on Sunday," she said.
