Ararat Rural City Council is pleased to support the revamp of the municipality's Regional Business Association and we are calling for passionate people to nominate for the committee.
Whether it's as president, treasurer or committee member, the revamped association needs new, enthusiastic business people to reinvigorate the group, grow membership and take it into the future, so if you think you can help, we'd love you to nominate.
The new-look association will broaden its focus, encouraging membership from right across the municipality and all sectors, including agribusiness, retail, manufacturing, tourism, wineries, micro-businesses and businesses in our smaller towns.
We want everyone to be involved to ensure the group's success.
The council has committed a full-time Business Development Officer to work with the association to obtain resources to run workshops and seminars, and provide marketing, promotion, leadership and guidance.
The council was really pleased to see around 60 people attend an initial meeting in early July to gauge interest, with a lot of positive feedback and many people showing interest in the association's revamp.
The time has now come to rally the troops and reform the association committee.
A nomination form can be found on our website at www.ararat.vic.gov.au and nominations must be received by close of business on Monday August 5.
Please note, you do not need to be nominated, seconded or accepted at this stage. Once you have forwarded your nomination, you will be contacted directly and asked to attend a pre-AGM gathering to discuss the next steps.
