The player pleaded guilty to "carelessly making contact to the head" during Minyip-Murtoa's round six clash against Horsham.
The matter was bought to the tribunal by the umpire, citing reckless contact to the head and jaw of another player.
Police investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
A 27-year-old Minyip man was arrested and interviewed by police on Sunday and released pending further inquiries.
Detective Gjalt Erkelens, who is investigating the incident, said the man's jaw was broken in two places on either side of his face.
