The clash between the undefeated Fosters Mensland and FixIT went down to the wire. FixIT were away fast to a 4-0 lead in the opening set, but were finally pegged back to a 7-5 win. Michael Hope's drives and serves were a challenge. Somehow, Fosters finished only one game behind at the end, largely due to Kim Hartwich's steady drives. Tahni Skewes played very strongly in the final set.
The other undefeated team is the Ararat Medical Centre. It had a tough outing against Embroidability, winning 37-35. Embroidability got back from 12 games down to win the last two sets and nearly win the night. Frank Mitchell and Adam Flemming had good nights.
Blizzards Optometrists won 36-31 against IGA. Tim Hartwich and Mel Allen won the decisive set 8-3. All other sets were decided by a game or less. Ben Barsoum's serve is Federesque.
Signtek recovered from a slow start to take charge against First National. Tom Guthrie again proved the difference, while Greg McInnes and Marcus Matthews finished level on games.
