Stawell Angling Club members enjoyed a great outing at Portland during the Labour Day long weekend, with a good number of anglers participating.
Members landed a total of 80 fish of various varieties.
RESULTS
Doug Collins narrowly took top honours, with 15 fish weighing 8.757kg from Gavin Keilars, catching 14 fish at 8.741kg.
David Wilson enjoyed his weekend, landing 10 fish for a total weight of 6.079kg. Gavin also took out the heaviest fish award with a Blue Throat Wrasse.
Wyatt Blake enjoyed his birthday as well as winning the juniors with two fish at 595 grams.
The next club outing is an open water event this weekend.
The competition will begin at 6am, Saturday, March 23 and run until noon Sunday, March 24.
Final measure will take place at the Lake Fyans clubhouse at 12.15pm.
