After being bowled for 76 against leaders Chalambar, last weekend, Wickliffe-Lake Bolac were wanting to put up a better effort with the bat when they played Pomonal.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac did just that when they made 138, but that was not enough as the visitors took control of the match making 2-276.
Rick Oliver and David Padley made the crease their own and showcased their talents with the bat, when they both made an unbeaten 109 and 104, respectively.
Ryan Nellthorp was the stand-out for the bowlers, taking three wickets for 28 runs off eight overs.
On form this was probably one of the matches to look out for heading into round six.
In the end it did not disappoint when the Swifts-Great Western hosted Youth Club.
Swifts-Great Western won the toss and elected to bat.
They took control, finishing their innings 5-241 with Craig Marrow top-scoring with an unbeaten 63. Gary Ranton also contributed with the bat making 56 not out.
Youth Club showed they were up for the fight, but even with Gary Martin scoring an unbeaten century it was not enough for the visitors as they finished their innings 6-230.
There were two teams who won on forfeit, with Chalambar and Rhymney-Moyston gaining the points against Buangor-Tatyoon and Navarre respectively.
It means Chalambar remain undefeated.
