Western Victoria MP Jaala Pulford, said the campus would receive $159,091.

The money is in addition to prior security grants, worth more than $130,000 awarded earlier this year to the same campus.

Ms Pulford said the funding will be used to install automatic driveway gates, public access gates and fencing at Willaura Hospital, Parkland House and Willaura Day Centre.

“It’s really pleasing to see that more than three quarters of ($8 million in statewide upgrades) are earmarked for regional bodies like EGHS,” she said.

“This security upgrade at Willaura will help improve the safety of people working at the campus.

EGHS departing chief executive Nick Bush thanked the state government for the grants, which he said were necessary given safety incidents involving staff.

In February, Ms Pulford said Parkland House, Willaura Hospital and Willaura Day Centre would receive $134,083 to install CCTV and perimeter door access controls at the Willaura campus as well as an upgrade of duress and nurse call systems.
