The visitors kicked the only goal of the first quarter to take an early lead with both teams struggling to score in the second term with the Storm leading by seven points.
The Storm then started to gain control of the game after half time and piled on two goals in the third quarter while keeping Redan goalless to go into the final term with a 19-point advantage on the scoreboard.
Another two-goal term ensured the reigning premiers got the 5.4.34 to 1.3.9 win in the round eight clash.
The Storm had five individual goalkickers for the match, showing the evenness in front of goal while Isabel Kettle was named the team’s best player in the win.
The victory means the Storm move level with Redan on points, remaining in fourth position.
They will host Creswick at Ararat’s Richardson Oval on Sunday. First bounce at 12.15pm.
