The second-placed Burras won 56-27 but were pressured for four quarters by the win-less Warriors.
Stawell was particularly competitive in the first two quarters, losing them by just six and four goals respectively.

Young Dakota Cosson shot 20 goals while Jade Cross and Ebony Summers were strong elsewhere on the court.
It was a good day on the netball court for Stawell in the other grades, with all teams but A and B Grade recording victories.
The win helped the C Grade side move two games clear of the Burras, while the 15 and under team remains undefeated ahead of its top of the table clash with Horsham next weekend.
