Mr Harvey has walked more than 24,000 kilometres with his lawnmower and passed through Ararat this week on his way to Horsham with a goal of raising $2 million for child protection organisation Bravehearts.
Mr Harvey, 72, said he had a close personal connection to the cause.
“Two little girls very close to my heart were sexually assaulted and I wanted to do something to raise awareness,” he said.
“I have been doing this for 11 years and I have gone around Australia walking with my lawnmower.”
Mr Harvey will continue his journey to Horsham before heading north to Mildura.
This is the first time Mr Harvey has visited Victoria.
He has previously visited Tasmania, Western Australia, Queensland and NSW.
He said people wanting more information could visit the Claude ‘The Mowerman’ Harvey page on Facebook.
