The ladder leaders were not the most accurate team in front of goal but the volume of chances meant they were always likely to win, eventually scoring 9.16.70 to hold off the Mounties 2.3.15.
Reuben Sladdin, Darcy Aitken and James Jennings all kicked two goals each for the Warriors in the win.
The loss leaves the Mounties at the bottom of the ladder, without a win after two rounds.
The Rovers also got on the winners list for the first time with a 41-point win against the Bombers in the other game.
The match was dominated by the Rovers who scored 9.7.61 to easily account for the Bombers 3.2.20. The Rovers will host the Mounties in round three while the Bombers will clash with the Warriors in the other match at Richardson Oval on Sunday.
