East Grampians Health Service’s chief executive has resigned and will take up a new job at another regional health service in coming months.

EGHS Board President Matthew Wood announced on Friday morning the resignation of chief executive Nick Bush effective June 28, 2018.
Mr Bush joined East Grampians Health Service as chief executive in October 2010.
An EGHS statement said that during Mr Bush’s time in the job, the organisation was recognised as a high achiever in in the health sector, being awarded the Victorian Premier’s Health Service of the Year in 2015 and 2016 for a medium health service against 21 other health services and as a finalist in the same category in 2017 (top three in state).
Mr Bush will join Echuca Regional Health as chief executive, effective July 16, 2018.
Mr Wood thanked Mr Bush for the leadership he has demonstrated in the health service and wider community.
“Nick is an excellent leader who has achieved great results for East Grampians Health Service in finance, clinical governance and workforce development,” Mr Wood said.
“His motivation to improve the organisation’s performance is acknowledged and we appreciate his dedication and commitment to deliver improved health services and outcomes for our community.
“We thank Nick for his enormous contribution to the organisation and wish him well as he takes the next step in his career at Echuca Regional Health.”
Mr Bush thanked those that have supported him throughout his tenure with East Grampians Health Service.
“I’d like to thank the Board for the opportunity to lead such a wonderful organisation with highly skilled and very dedicated staff, visiting medical officers, auxiliaries and volunteers,” Mr Bush said.
“I’ll truly miss the great friendships I’ve made. I’m proud to leave East Grampians Health Service in a very stable position with a strong board, committed medical workforce, executive management and staff.
“After seven years at East Grampians Health Service I’m excited to manage the complexities of a larger health service at Echuca.”
Mr Bush will start at Echuca Regional Health in July and his wife Celine, children Genevieve, Edmund and Philippa will join him later in the year.
