The new-look Hawks dominated from quarter-time onwards to record a 14.10 (94) to 8.8 (56) victory.
Each side managed just one goal each to start the game, but Tatyoon were able to kick away after the first break.
They continued to improve as the game went on, putting away five goals in the final term to secure a comfortable 38-point win.
Trevor Wanganeen led the way for the Hawks, kicking six majors while Jack Antonio was named as best on ground.
Steven Butler also finished with three goals to his name as one of the Hawks’ best. Michael Lockyer kicked four for the visitors.
The win gives Tatyoon a perfect start to the season, having defeated Ararat in last weekend’s opening round.
