The Ararat Swimming Club held its end of season presentation night last month to celebrate a successful 2017-18 season.

Ararat Swimming Club were successful in taking out the our home pool Mackenzie Shield for the second consecutive year since the outdoor pool was opened.
The Ararat club also took out the Wimmera District Championships Shield for the season, capping off a near-perfect season overall for the Water Rats.
All swimmers were presented with a medal and certificate of participation for their contribution to the club’s success.
Other individual awards were presented to standout swimmers for their efforts.
Navasha Madex was awarded the coaches award while Gabriel Tonks collected the most improved award for a strong season in the pool.
The 2017-18 Butch Brasser Award was presented by Butch’s wife Jenny Brasser to Milly Keilar for her good sportsmanship and commitment to the team.
Asha Dale was named the aggregate junior girls champion while Eoghan Purser won the junior boys title.
Havana Madex took out the senior girls championship while Jack Cameron topped the senior boys division.
Ainsley Cameron said the club is happy with the successful season by all swimmers and is looking forward to another successful period during the 2018-19 season which will start later this year.
The club will hold two come and try nights in the last week of term two for new swimmers at the Ararat Fitness Centre indoor pool.
