Magpies outworked by Demons in final term | Mininera and District Netball Association

A strong start from the Magpies was not enough to get the win against the Demons in the round one clash at Derrinallum on Saturday.

After trailing at every break, Lismore-Derrinellum’s substantial 15-goal last quarter saw the Demon’s overcome Wickliffe-Lake Bolac.

Coach Kate Poole netted 11 goals in the last term to finish with 25 for the game and place in the Demons best, alongside Lauren McLennan, who started the first half in wing defense before moving to wing attack.

The Magpies used their entire bench, with 10 players sharing court time and multiple position changes throughout the match, showing the versatility of the squad in the season opener.
