Market coordinator Jane Millear said the event was a credit to the community, with an estimated 1000 patrons and a good amount raised.
“It was wonderful and we had a marvelous team of supporters, helpers and volunteers to help us set up,” she said.
“it was a wonderful response from the community and further afield, which was great.”
“We don’t count entrants but we give away lucky tickets, and we must have given away more than 1000.”
Mrs Millear said the market was on track to make “a healthy profit” to be reinvested into Willaura healthcare.
“We had some good entertainment and some lovely stallholders from near and far,” she said,
“Some of them have been coming ever since we began, which I think was 17 years ago.
“We started with 12 stalls behind the hostel area and it grew and grew to where we are now: at least 50 to 60 stall holders.
“It’s a lovely number, not too big or too small.”
