Thirty-one Chalambar lady golfers participated in the event in cooler weather conditions.
Rowe, with a handicap of 22, took out division one with a fabulous 40 points.
Runner-up was Judy Edwards (handicap of 23) with 36 points.
The division two winner was Sue White, playing off a handicap of 34, who finished the round with 36 points.
Finishing closely behind was runner-up Helen Tucker, ending the day with 35 points.
Nearest the pins were: 2nd hole, Chris Dohnt; 6th hole, Sally Philip; 8th hole, (second shot) Therese Jess; 16th hole, Lois Dunn and 18th hole, Barb Mannix.
Results
An 18 hole event was played on Saturday, February 17, with Mary Bruce (handicap of 40) claiming victory.
Bruce achieved an impressive 41 points to claim the top spot.
Runner-up went to Marg Brehaut (handicap of 22) who finished the day with 35 points.
Nearest the pin on the sixth hole also went to Mary Bruce, while Marg Lardner took the honours on the 16th.
Monday, February 19 saw 25 ladies take to the Chalambar golf course, playing a nine-hole event.
Winner of the day was Therese Jess, playing off a 36 handicap, with 23 points.
Marg Lardner, with a handicap of 19, was runner-up after the nine holes with a round total of 18.
Coming up
Next week players will be contesting a three-person Irish stableford.
Tee off is at 9am.
The competition will be followed by a Legend’s Lunch with past players.
All past players are welcome to come along to the lunch and enjoy a catch-up.
