After the holiday break, Ararat’s U3A will begin again at Melbourne Polytechnic Training Centre on Tuesday 30 January, with enrolment for the term 1 courses.

Members and friends will get to hear guest speaker Dan Ahchow from Seppelt Great Western who will talk about his involvement in that business.
U3A Ararat has a membership of 130 and there is variety in the Term 1 class and group choices to suit everyone.
Art, Woodies, Meditation, Craft, Speakers Day, Singing, Book Group, Pilates and excursions. Solo, Samba and Bridge are three different groupings of card games played each week and the unique Finska, some have described as ‘a bit like Bocci’.
Alexandra Lake circuit walks and coffee are on Friday mornings and the longer strenuous walks around the district will resume in the cooler term 2.
Speakers Days with numerous presentations like the quite different experiences in Canada of a holiday, and then a work secondment, will be great to see, hear and compare; memories for young and old living in Ararat, and memories of working in Antarctica will be part of the program.
New members are invited and welcome to come to enrolment day from 9.30 am on January 30 at the MPT Training Centre.
