Claire Burmeister, Ella McLoughlan and Tasha Saunders all missed out on progressing straight through to the state championships at the regional championships qualifier Eureka Gymnastics Club in Ballarat but performed well enough to qualify for the repechage.
Ararat Gymnastics Club head coach Briana Hopper said it was a fantastic effort for the trio to do so well.
Claire and Ella have qualified Vault bar, beam and floor and Tasha will also compete on the day,” she said.
It is great they have the repechage event, because it gives a the children a chance to compete at the state level.”
The trio will continue to train six hours a week in preparation for the event.
Hopper said while the club is usually a fun place, the next few weeks will be a bit more serious for the girls.
“All three are naturally talented, as every year progresses they go up a different level,” she said.
The repechage is at Waverley Gymnastics Club on October 14 and 15.
