Man in the Corner was alerted to a query from a customer, messaging the bank from the Illawarra, trying to locate an affiliated ATM that wouldn’t incur them dreaded ATM useage fees.
“Whereabouts in the Illawarra can I get $$$ (sic) out without paying stupid ATM fees,” the customer wrote to the bank via Twitter.
A series of tweets returned.
“Ur (sic) closest rediATM is located at BP Reliance … Stawell VIC 3380 this won’t incur fees,” the bank replied.
The customer didn’t appear impressed.
“You do realise Stawell is some 1000km away from me? Bit far to use an ATM,” the customer replied.
The bank proceeded to assist the customer with a web link to its affiliated ATM machines – across the country.
At least it’s handy intel for those Bank of Queensland customers living in, or travelling through, Stawell.
