Ararat man arrested over sexual assault
Police arrested a man in Ararat on Monday as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault in the Melbourne CBD.

A 19-year-old man was arrested by Ararat police and subsequently interviewed by detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad.
Police previously issued public appeals in June and July for information in relation to his whereabouts following the sexual assault on June 17.
He has been charged with assault with intent to commit a sexual offence and other related offences.
The man faced court on Tuesday and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on September 22.
