Organisers promise they’ll be something for everyone at the event, which has become a fixture on the social calendar. Local women will model the new arrivals from 2taggs and CAS couture, and and they’ll be a display from Perry’s Footwear.
Treasurer Gloria Bull said the guild worked with the three local fashion businesses to hold the event, which raised money for charity.
This year, the funds would help two children go to the Portsea Camp, which runs camps in school holidays for disadvantaged, special needs and geographically isolated children.
She said after the parade, there was an afternoon tea.
The event would also include a home-made cake stall, a bric-a-brac sales and lucky door prizes.
“Ladies love the social part of it,” Mrs Bull said.
2taggs’ Leona Jennings said she’d been part of the event for four years. This year she’s excited to show off about 35 outfits.
She tips navy and grey to be popular this season, as well as long-line cardigans.
Ms Jennings said woolen knits had also made a comeback, and there were some beautiful ones in store.
Staff from the boutiques will give a commentary on the runway looks.
People can’t buy clothes at the fashion parade, but Ms Jennings said 2taggs would offer 20 per cent off clothing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning for those who had attended the event.
The fashion parade will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2pm. Entry $5.
