It was a horror day on the state's roads yesterday, with five people killed in four separate crashes – two of which happened in central Victoria.

In the most recent, two people died when they swerved to avoid a kangaroo and slammed into a tree.
The crash happened at Denver, out towards Daylesford, about 10pm last night.
The male driver and female passenger died at the scene.
Investigators believe a car was travelling north along Daylesford-Malmsbury Road when it swerved to avoid the kangaroo about 9.30pm.
In a separate incident yesterday, a woman died after her car struck a tree in Marong just after midday.
The other fatalities occurred when a motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in Tyabb just after 6am and a female driver who died in a collision with a truck in Mildura.
A total of 248 people have died on the state's roads this year.
That means that this year's road toll is currently the same as the total number of road deaths in Victoria in 2014.
It is significantly higher than the 221 who died on the state’s roads last year.
