ARARAT - The annual Spiller Family Sprint Series heats are the feature events on the card at Ararat Harness Racing Club's twilight meeting on Sunday.

The two heats have attracted strong fields, with a number of contestants boasting recent winning form.
Race five, the first heat of the Spiller Family series, has five horses which have won their last four starts. The best of these is likely to be the number three horse, prepared by Peter Tonkin and to be driven by Daryl Douglas, Majot De Lock, which won its last start at Terang.
Another with sound winning prospects is also a last start winner.Windermeres Dream, trained by Michael Watt and to be driven by another leading driver in Greg Sugars, was a last start winner at Yarra Valley.
Peter Manning is well represented with Cyclades, which has had two wins and a second in its last five starts. Peter's other entrant, Valentino Rustler is also in with a good chance of success.
The second heat of the series is race seven which also has two last start winners. The first is Peter Manning's Torque Arttraction, a last start winner at Echuca and the inform Mick Micallef-prepared Flying Fox, a winner of its past three starts, the most recent of which was a metropolitan event at Globe Derby Park.
Others with winning prospects are Tony Bond's He Did It Again and Peter Tonkin's Tara Tom.
Two other races on the card are heats of a series for C0 horses, which will have its final at Ararat on October 24. These are the Kerryn Manning Leading Trainer Pace and the Glen Craven Leading Concession Driver Pace.
The best of those in the first heat will be the Bret Lilley-trained Victoria May NZ, which has been racing in consistent form, the Michael Bellman-driven Is Life on Mars NZ and first starter for Justin Lane, Minus Three, which is a half brother to the smart National Service.
Heat two of this series, which is race six, again sees a Bret Lilley-trained prospect in the pole marker Collect NZ the best chance.
Collect NZ, together with Greg Moy's Try Some Magic, Tony Bond's Don't Be Silly Mia, Phils Grinning and Peters Ace, are the most likely to progress to the final.
The seven race card will commence at 5.57pm with the last event at 8.31pm.
The Pick Five Jackpot is still in place for patrons to select their five winners for a chance to take home the $500 Jackpot.
