Michael Harricks, Joshua Byron and John Butler ripped through the Halls Gap batting lineup to dismiss the visitors for 99. The trio picked up three wickets each, with Butler dismissing Halls Gap’s top scorer Sean Mantell on 44.
Tatyoon’s opening batsmen were untroubled in their innings. Jarrod Blandford and Andrew McDougall made 61 and 39 runs respectively as Tatyoon cruised to 0/105 from just 20 overs.
Aradale has returned to the A grade winner’s list following its clash with St Andrews at Gordon Street.
It was the lower order batsmen that got the job done – Tyler Cronin (42), Eyan Habib (36) and Riley Taylor (33) were the main contributors towards Aradale’s 8/191.
Best of the Saints’ bowlers was Brady Miller. Miller claimed 3/26 while his teammate Luke Robinson snared 2/31.
Saints’ batsmen struggled in reply. Languishing at 5/38, James Hosking tried to rescue his team from defeat with a brave 22 however Aradale bowlers Cameron Ralph (3/11), Tyler Cronin (2/21) Eyan Habib (2/24) were in top form. The Saints were eventually dismissed for 102.
Once again, it was the Ganleys leading the Buangor charge in its round 11 encounter with Chalambar.
Jack Ganley fell just short of a century, reaching 96 before being caught out while Harry Ganley opened with 65 runs. This made for a tough day if you were a Chalambar bowler. Matthew McKinnis toiled away to return with 4/55 as Buangor finished on 6/250.
Chalambar got off to a bright enough start in its innings. Ryan Bertram made 62 before being run out, while Shaun Smith chipped in with 25.
However in just his first A grade match this season, Lachlan Oddie was on fire. Oddie picked up 4/8 while Lewis Baker (2/0) cleaned up the tail end as Chalambar’s innings ended on 120.
Despite Jamie Solyom scoring a century, Youth Club could not get across the line against A grade ladder leaders Swifts/Great Western at Central Park on Saturday.
In reply to Swifts/Great Western’s 6/199, Clubbers’ veteran Solyom made a heroic 122 not out. However, he ran out of time with Youth Club falling just nine runs short of an upset victory.
